Project Description

“THE EFFECT OF CHOKEBERRY SUPPLEMENTATION ON BLOOD PRESSURE AND CHOLESTEROL

Cardiac health is one of the most important components of wellness in the 21st century. With heart disease being one of the leading causes of death, dietary supplements that have potential to improve risk factors, such as hypertension, hold potential to reduct both morbidity and mortality.

The purpose of this meta-analysis is to evaluate the evidence regarding the effects of chokeberries (aronia) on blood pressure and cholesterol, and to analyze the potential for moderator variables to influence these effects.

This meta-analysis will be complete spring 2019. The project was commissioned and funded by Artemis International.
